I share my quest to learn what my Native American heritage is in Me as a Mixed Blood and 7th Generation Of American Indians Has Right To Know Their Heritage; consequentially, when I said “I know from verifiable research that my tribal heritage is most likely Cherokee,” I was pretty close. However, when I’ve said “I don’t know,” and “I am a U5 as determined from a biological DNA test, ” I didn’t know how true that was — nor how important it is to at least have a general idea of my heritage. Let me tell you why before I say what the results are from the last DNA test I took, and why sharing it is important to my own religious freedom.
Saying “I don’t know” has been vital to relating to myself and to others. First, for self honesty and having peace of mind, and second to not fall prey to archetypal psychic vampires in ceremonial circles. Such “vampires” decide what tribe you are, according to their private agendas. For example, they might say anything from “Your bone structure looks like this tribe” to “You were this relative in a past life with us.” But that’s a sort of subtle mind control, because then they need you to assume a fantasy role and always be where they think you should be. Therefore, the best defense is saying “I don’t know.”
A fraudulent claim is an area the seeker never wants to be accused of, its repercussions are known well. Once, I was performing for a SPIRIT protest and I was listed as being Cheyenne. I called the organizer quickly to correct it. As a result, I was able to contribute to the event positively. That was important, because I wouldn’t have been able to do so with the Cheyenne Nation angry at me. So, let me share what the final results are.
Russian is at the very top of my World Population Matches, my biological father thinks it’s German. Next, are Japanese, Moroccan, and Korean. Finally, here are the indigenous results: Filipino (#9 & #16), Mexican (#26), Brazilian — Amazonian (#83 & #84), and US Cherokee Admixed (#281). Brazilian — Amazonian being #83 and #84 with US Cherokee Admixed being #281 is why I was given a Native American certificate, and was not given a Cherokee certificate. What lab gave these results?
With the release of our new database at DNA 8.0. you can now find out if you have a high match to either or both of two new reference populations called U.S. Cherokee Admixed (n = 62) and U.S. Cherokee Admixed (n=92). These forensic populations were created in house from a combination of participants in our Cherokee DNA Studies and a random sample of customers who indicated to us that they identified as Cherokee.
Allow me to say with a quotation what I think is the truth. Black Elk, a famous wičháša wakȟáŋ (medicine man and holy man) of the Oglala Lakota (Sioux) said,
“I am an Indian. If you have one drop of Indian blood in your veins, then you are Indian.” His statement encourages that the “rule” should not be fixed, but a choice for self-affirmation.
Why is sharing this important to my own religious freedom? Since my last diary on this I found my half sisters I already mentioned. I told them this general information, saying they were Native American too, since this is all traced through our biological mother. They did not care. They are fundamentalist Christians who voted for Trump. My religious freedom, because I work with nature and that means hard work, requires independence from toxic origins and shadow lodges that are disempowering. Moreover, it gets more challenging every year to follow the Red Road.
Adherents of various folk religions – including African traditional religions, Chinese folk religions, Native American religions and Australian aboriginal religions – are projected to increase by 11%, from 405 million to nearly 450 million.

While growing in absolute size, however, folk religions, Judaism and “other religions” (the umbrella category considered as a whole) will not keep pace with global population growth. Each of these groups is projected to make up a smaller percentage of the world’s population in 2050 than it did in 2010.4
Lastly, those that see me and my chosen spiritual path as its enemies don’t make it any easier, as the Red Road “will not keep pace with global population growth.”
The Dominionist vision for America
White America
Dominionists believe that white Americans and Europeans are descendants of lost tribes of Israel. They are the rightful rulers of earth; those who are not white or European are meant to be governed by white people.
What this means for people of color:
- Native Americans: all tribal members should be confined to reservations.
