Abigail was released in the second batch of hostages. She turned four while being held.
Story from The Jewish Chronicle
Both ABC News and The Jewish Chronicle report the family was attacked on October 7th.
The toddler was reportedly being held by her father when he and her mother were shot and killed by Hamas.
She crawled out ‘from under her father’s body… full of his blood’ and fled to a neighbour’s home, where she was kidnapped by Hamas, Hirsh Naftali said.
Her siblings, ages 6 and 10, who witnessed their parents’ murder, escaped by hiding in a closet for 14 hours.

President Biden had specific comments on her release,
"She's free and she's in Israel now," Mr. Biden said, adding that Abigail has "been through a terrible trauma." The child's mother was killed in front of her by Hamas militants before her father was also gunned down while using his body to shield Abigail from the attack. Abigail then ran to neighbors for help, Mr. Biden said.
"What she endured is unthinkable," he said.
